Families and patients define their healthcare quality, safety, and overall experience as emotional, while healthcare providers define the experience as biological health. Rev. Regina Holliday seeks to close that gap to co-design outcomes and experiences and create humanism in healthcare. She is a patient advocate and artist known for painting murals depicting the need for clarity and transparency in medical records and to reform health care standards. This advocacy mission was inspired by her husband and his struggle to get appropriate health care. He suffered poor care coordination, a lack of access to data, and a series of medical errors, ultimately losing his battle and his life. Hollidayβs husbandβs death inspired her to create change needed to drive better patient outcomes and communication for patient and families. Join her in conversation at University of Findlay for her presentation, βHealth Equity and Reconciliation,β as we delve into a discussion around how to be a better advocate for patients and families and live-streamed via Zoom (link: https://findlay.zoom.us/j/91335489305?pwd=S2Zjc1A5V08wSEc4aE9nUnRHdDhVZz09).
